What is ISO?
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a global network that identifies what
International Standards are required by business, government and society, develops them in partnership
with the sectors that will put them to use, adopts them by transparent procedures based on national input
and delivers them to be implemented worldwide.
What is ISO 9000?
ISO 9000 is a series of documented standards relating to quality management systems. Written by the
International Organization for Standardization, the series has been adopted by more than 100 countries.
ISO 9001 is the standard in the series that is to be used for assessing an organization’s quality management
system.
What ISO 9001 registration means to the TFT customer?
In 1997 Task Force Tips made the decision to become registered to the ISO 9001 standard. The adoption
of a documented quality management system was a strategic decision made by Task Force Tips to enhance
customer satisfaction through continuous improvement. In December 1999, TFT was issued Certificate of
Registration after our initial assessment to the requirements of the ISO 9001:1994 standard. Then in
December of 2003, TFT’s quality system was assessed to the updated ISO 9001:2000 standard and found in
compliance.

Task Force Tips delivers products designed and manufactured to satisfy our customer’s needs.
Consistent quality is achieved by a documented quality system with continuous improvement
accomplished through total employee involvement. Continued registration is an understood goal
here at Task Force Tips. The quality policy and quality objectives establish measurable quality goals.
Progress against these goals is assessed on a regular basis to monitor improvements and determine where
adjustments are needed.
Task Force Tips strives to utilize the quality system to its fullest extent. New and innovative products
are continually designed to meet the firefighter’s stream management needs. Processes and products are
monitored for consistent quality. Customer satisfaction is assessed and analyzed. As a result, the Task
Force Tips’ quality management system continues to mature and improve.
